Bedale Tennis Club Invites Community to “Sip & Serve” Open Day
Bedale Tennis Club is opening its courts to the local community this summer with a special “Sip & Serve” event designed to welcome players of all ages and abilities.
Taking place on Sunday 12 July, the open day offers a relaxed and friendly opportunity for newcomers to pick up a racket, meet club members, and experience everything the club has to offer.
The day will begin with a junior session for under-16s from 10am to 12 noon, giving younger players a chance to get involved in tennis in a fun and supportive environment. Adult players are then invited to take to the courts from 1pm to 3pm, with club members and coaches on hand to offer guidance and join in the action.
A social hour will run from 12 noon to 1pm, where attendees can enjoy a drink and a burger while getting to know other members of the club. The event is designed not just as a sporting activity, but as a chance to build friendships and connect with the local community.
Bedale Tennis Club prides itself on being a welcoming club for everyone, with a strong emphasis on inclusion, fun and community spirit. The club offers year-round tennis thanks to its floodlit courts, allowing members to play both day and night regardless of the season.
With a simple annual membership fee covering unlimited access to the courts, the club aims to provide affordable opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy racquet sports in the outdoors.
Organisers are encouraging anyone curious about tennis — whether complete beginners or returning players — to come along and give it a try.
“This is a great opportunity to meet new people, get active and see what the club is all about,” the organisers say. “Everyone is welcome, and you can play at your own pace.”
Those interested in joining can find more information and membership details via the club’s online page.
